New HOTMIC research project completes its first expedition

The JPI Oceans HOTMIC project, coordinated by the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, aims to close knowledge gaps about the fate of plastic in the oceans. Before the official start of the project on 1 April, the research vessel ALKOR collected samples and data for HOTMIC along the European west coast.
