A Pavilion for the Mediterranean

For the first time in history, COP27 will have a Pavilion entirely dedicated to the Mediterranean.  The Pavilion is designed to highlight the urgent challenges facing the region and the innovative solutions already developed.

The Pavilion is made up of a coalition of partners: the Union for the Mediterranean, the PRIMA Foundation and UNEP-MAP, together with a group of relevant organisations and a scientific committee, led by the Mediterranean Experts on Climate and environmental Change (MedECC) network, which brings together 600 scientists and has produced the first scientific assessment of climate and environmental change in the Mediterranean.

The first Mediterranean Pavilion will host numerous activities and bring together key players in the region.
