Lorenza Babbini at the Festival of Mediterranean Citizen

UNEP/MAP at the Festival of Mediterranean Citizens: Lorenza Babbini, Director of INFO/RAC, the Regional Activity Centre for Information and Communication, will in fact be among the speakers in the section on "Water in the Mediterranean: disputed and running out" scheduled for Saturday 4 June from 7 to 8.30 p.m. at the Palazzo della Cultura in the Marchesi Hall.

The focus of this session will be access to drinking water and sanitation, recognised as a fundamental human right that unfortunately is not always fulfilled. The debate is a dialogue to rebalance the relationship between man, nature and water.

Participants will include Pedro Arrojo -Aguido, UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights to drinking water and sanitation, Radwa Hecham, environmental journalist, Christian Mulder and Mara Benadusi from the University of Catania.
