... a consultant to produce a policy paper on marine renewable energy in the Mediterranean.

The objective of this collaboration is to produce a 6-page policy paper that provides an overview of the current state of marine renewable energy development in the Mediterranean region and proposes key policy recommendations for their sustainable growth.

The consultant will draw mainly on the work carried out in two Plan Bleu pilot publications: "Towards Sustainable Development of Marine Renewable Energies in the Mediterranean", published in 2022, and "Using Ecological sensitivity to guide Marine Renewable Energy Potentials in the Mediterranean Region", published in 2021, produced as part of the Interreg-MED Blue Growth Community and Mediterranean Biodiversity Protection Community projects, as well as on the inventory of MRE legislation, regulations and strategies in the Mediterranean, currently being drawn up by Plan Bleu and a service provider.

The consultant should start work in mid-November 2023 and finish on 28 February 2024.
