SPA/RAC is looking for a Biodiversity Programme Coordinator.

The position is based at the RAC/SPA offices in Tunis, Tunisia. The Biodiversity Programme Coordinator will report directly to the Director of RAC/SPA and will assume the responsibilities described in the Terms of Reference.

Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree (Masters or equivalent) in fields related to the marine environment, marine natural resource management, marine biology or ecology, or other fields related to nature conservation.

Professional experience required :

A minimum of twelve (12) years of responsible experience in the management and coordination of marine and coastal biodiversity conservation projects and programmes;
Experience in the development, planning, implementation, reporting and evaluation of project activities, including institutional issues;
Experience in budget planning and management;
Experience in administrative and financial management;
Experience in the Mediterranean region;
Experience in multinational organisations.

Candidates must also have:

A fluent knowledge of written and spoken English and French;
Knowledge of Arabic and other Mediterranean languages is essential.

The post is for an initial period of one year (with a probationary period of 3 months), which may be extended.
