The European State of the Climate 2024 is coming

The European State of the Climate Report 2024, jointly published by the Copernicus Climate Change Service and the World Meteorological Organization, will be released on April 15.
Produced by about 100 collaborators as well as the Copernicus Climate Change Service and the World Meteorological Organization, the report analyzes key data on the climate conditions of the year, providing an overview of the state of the climate in Europe in 2024.

The 2024 edition of the annual report delves deeper into the year’s conditions through a series of interactive and static graphics, infographics, and analysis of the hottest year both globally and in Europe.
First published in 2018, the report provides data on 19 different climate variables, from river flows to sunshine and cloud cover, from precipitation to snow and glaciers, renewable energy resources, and much more.
The report also offers insights into key events, including fires, heatwaves, floods, and storms in 2024, to track our changing climate and its impacts on Europe, which are becoming increasingly prominent.

The year 2024 has already been confirmed as the hottest ever recorded, both globally and in Europe, in the highlights of the C3S Global Climate Report, published at the beginning of the year, and in the State of the Global Climate Report by the WMO.
