The roles of women in family and business life against climate change

The event has been co-organized by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change of Türkiye, UNEP/MAP, UFM and PRIMA Foundation, and was held at the Mediterranean Pavilion.

The United Nations (UN) Climate Change Gender Action Plan includes the goals of “full, equal and meaningful participation of women” in the implementation of the UN climate change negotiation and the dissemination of a gender perspective in UN bodies.

It was demonstrated during the event how women contribute significantly to ensuring that all segments of society benefit from this growth, by ensuring economic growth, increasing the productivity of industry and achieving technological transformation, and by aligning education with the needs of the labour market by increasing access to skilled education. A side event would be useful to discuss the role of successful women in education.
