WES Press release - WES Workshop on the structuring of an EPR scheme for plastic bottle waste in Morocco

Morocco is a leading country in the Mediterranean in terms of promoting sustainable consumption and production patterns, green and circular economy, building on the Framework Law on the National Charter for the Environment and Sustainable Development (2010), which considers waste management a priority for a sustainable development. 

 In Casablanca, on the 30th of April 2022, the EU funded WES project, as part of a national activity implemented jointly with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, organised a Brainstorming Workshop on the Structuring of an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for plastic bottle waste.
